Raj Silk Imports offers exceptionally stunning textile arts to the world

Combining our two loves of service and beauty, we have put together a
unique business combining the support of humanitarian aid projects and
offering beautiful textiles to adorn oneself and one’s home.
Not far from the ruins of Angkor and Ayuthaya we bring forth the true
artistic traditions of South East Asia. In addition to the traditional
textile arts which maintain their cultural identity, we also have contemporary
home furnishings which fit beautifully within any type of Western décor.
It is our mission to bring unique items directly from the artisans in
order to support the original traditions in which they are made. Most
important, is in the building of relationships with some of the finest
artisans in the world.
While traveling in Southeast Asia, Cambodia, its people and vast cultural
and artistic traditions, moved us unlike any of the other countries. The
Cambodians have suffered war as the strategic neighbor to Vietnam, with
little peace. The Khmer Rouge promised salvation but delivered devastation.
In spite of this, Cambodia inches forward. Through its arts and crafts,
the country is tapping into its culture and heritage. In particular, Cambodian
silks are among the most beautiful in Asia, their sensual colors changing
from season to season.
A portion of your purchase helps the disadvantaged Khmer people of Cambodia
still recovering from war, political unrest, and a challenged economy.
Landmine victims, widows, orphans, and girls rescued from child prostitution,
are provided with training in both vocational schools and employment in
weaving and tailoring cooperatives.
